The ICT Literacy
Summit 2003 is a unique opportunity for leading
executives, educators and policy makers from the US and
participating nations to influence the policies that will
shape information technology literacy in the years
ahead. The ICT Literacy Policy Summit 2003 is especially
designed to convene stakeholder leaders at the forefront of
ICT Literacy in industry, public policy, the workplace and
education.
Summit participants
will:
> Deal with major
issues of global impact affecting ICT Literacy and
workforce;
> Work toward a
consensus on how to integrate ICT Literacy effectively into
public policy, education and training at all levels;
> Discourse on
"Digital Transformation" an innovative framework for
assessment of ICT Literacy skills developed by an
international expert panel representing key stakeholders
including the Information Technology Association of America
(ITAA), Educational Testing Service (ETS), OECD in Paris,
Statistics Canada, the Education Ministry of Brazil, and the
Communications Workers of America.
